May Wrap Up
Hello!
Sorry I was gone for a
while. I was busy
and sick. Not a good combination. I promise to start posting again and
catch up on all your wonderful blogs very soon, but for now, my May wrap up!
Boy, was this month a blur, or what? Between rehearsals,
tech week, tears, more auditions, stress, performances, laughing and general
craziness, it's been a great month.
I’m currently in the perfect stage of life, theatre wise. Our first three performances were successes,
so I don’t have to worry anymore. But I
still have the chance to be Wendy two more time this weekend, before I must say
goodbye to that part of myself. *cries*
Book things
I can’t lie, this wasn’t an amazing month for reading. But I had pretty good excuses, so that’s
that.
M.B.S. and the Prisoner’s Dilemma 4/5
The Magician’s Nephew 3/5
Number the Stars 3/5
The Penderwicks on Gardam Street 4/5
You guys, I feel so mean rating books! Every book I’ve ever read deserves
something. Just think of how many hours,
probably days, it took to write it. And
not just writing. Think of how much time
they spent thinking about it. Hear me
now, I think all book deserve recognition.
No matter how terrible they are.
The only way to improve is to write, am I right? (sorry, I couldn’t resist using that
pun. It was actually an accident, but
who cares?)
And don’t forget to check out the Typewriter Project! I was supposed to say something about it
while you could still sign up, but I sort of forgot. Oops.
Theatre
Quite honestly, I could write page after page of everything that
happened during tech week. I realize how
boring that would be, so I will limit myself to a few words.
Laughter. Crazy dancing. The Three Musketeers. Attempted scares. Random games. Grass stains.
Tears. Stress. Support.
Stress. Stress. SLEAP.
Feeling better. Costumes. Too much heat. Nerves.
Pride. Joy. Tired.
Sore throat. Prayer. Friends.
Love.
Food
I don’t know why I’m including this category. I guess because I’ve been making deserts
lately. I made several types of ice
cream. Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry/banana,
cherry and lemon sorbet. Did I mention
not one recipe used sugar? Yep! They were sugar free! I used maple syrup for most of them, but I
used banana for the sweetener in the chocolate and strawberry/banana ice cream. If you would like a recipe just comment below and tell me.
I also made some AMAZING avocado, parmesan, lemon and tomato sandwiches. Just thinking about the makes my mouth water.

Learning
I spend too much time on my phone/screens.
Life is too short to waste it.
I can do anything I want, so long as I work hard enough.
I don’t have to worry about the future. All will come in time.
I still don’t know which makes me more nervous; auditions or
performances.
My family is really quite wonderful.

Aren't they lovely? A friend of mine gave them to me after my first performance and I couldn't wait to take a picture.
