Peter Pan & Wendy Photo Dump




Good morning!  

How are you?  I am great. Nervous excited for our first performance.  It's only one week away.  How are we possibly going to perform so soon?  For the past three and a half months I've been looking forward to this, but now that it's almost here, I wish I could go back to our first rehearsal.  

We have auditions for the summer musical tomorrow.  It’s just another reminder that this show is coming to an end.  I am looking forward to the musical, though.  I don’t actually like singing in public, but I still want to do it. 

Two weeks ago, we had our photo shoot.  At first it was scheduled for the week before.  Then things happened.  Things like snow, at the end of April, in New Mexico.  Yeah, and two days later Willa was out in the pool swimming because it was in the 80s.  Don’t ask me.  New Mexico weather is weird.


Anyway, here are some of the photos!  I’m planning on editing this to add more photos when they’re released, so I’d love it if you’d check back.

I am so pleased with the photos.  I think I captured the spirit of Wendy in them.  Whatever the case, the dress is just amazing to wear.  I feel like Wendy and unconsciously change the way I move to fit her.  I also learned something new!  When you get a mosquito bite, make an X on it with your fingernail.  It won't make the itching stop immediately, but it makes the bite go away within a day.

    That looks awesome! You look so pretty! And the whole cast in costumes looks great -- it seems you had a lot of fun. :) And I did NOT know about the mosquito bite trick! I shall try it next time I get a bite. ;)

    Oh goodness such loveliness! Peter Pan has been a part of me since I was a tiny thing xD I would totally freak out with excitement if I was Wendy Darling!!!
    By the way, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner about the tag! I really don't do tags anymore but I always feel so honored when people tag me...so thanks, girl!

      I hope my dance studio does fairy tales and/or book themes next year for our recital...this year we are doing Hollywood and our class' number is from Grease *slaps forehead*

Hey Guys! I'm Finally Back + Exciting News

I seem to have taken a brief (but much needed) blogging hiatus.  I was feeling a little discouraged and uninspired.  This time has helped me to refresh my mind while coming up with tons to talk about in upcoming posts.  And now, even when I finally post again, it's just a short one.   But   one filled with an exciting announcement...  I checked my number of followers sometime last week.  It was a measly 21.   This was the beginning of my blog burnout .  I was feeling discouraged.  On Saturday I checked my stats, and I had an amazing 90 followers!  It's amazing that people actually want to read my writing.  People all over the place are going to read these words I write. Friendship Day + What My Closest Friends Taught Me

Hello! How are you?  I still can’t believe it’s August.  I know I haven't been posting often, but I've been very busy.  Guess what?  Tomorrow is National Friendship Day!  I really wanted to do a post about it, but I'm trying to stick to my blog schedule, so I compromised and posted it today.     My friends have taught me lots of things .  Sometimes I’ve gotten a little bugged with them, and sometimes I’ve tried their patience.  But not matter what, we stick together.  Here are a few things I’ve learned from my three closest friends. Lolly (because who is a better friend than my sister?) Stand up for yourself.   Don’t ever let people walk all over you.  If they don’t care about you, then there is no reason to care about them. You are safe.  God will always protect you.  You are loved, and there is nothing that can change that. It’s okay to cry.  Just don’t lose hope....
