A Rather Late February Post

This is my wallpaper right now and it literally makes me smile every time I see it.

Oh my goodness, February flew by, didn't it?  A lot of awesome things happened, such as, turning fourteen, the first rehearsals for Peter Pan & Wendy plus lots of other fun events, but still, it seemed so short!

This post was inspired by Grace Ann's at Totally Graced and Katie Grace's at A Writer's Faith.  Both of them did the coolest February wrap up posts..   You should totally check out their blogs.

Books

I seriously haven't read a single book this month.  I'm terribly ashamed of myself.

I've started reading The Phantom Tollbooth, it's really interesting and makes you see things in a different way.  I'm not really quite sure what i think about it yet.

I need to go to the library!!!  I have the longest 'to read' list and I'm also trying to make a list of every book I've ever read.  So far it's two and a half pages long, but I know I'm missing some.

Discoveries

That I really, really need to clean my closet.  It's really bad.

Bullet Journaling!  It's beautiful and lovely and organized.  I have only been doing it for a week, but it already love it so much.

Spring is here, well almost... Kind of.  The weather can't seem to make up it's mind.  In early February it was super warm, like 70s.  Now it's down to the 50s again, so I don't know what's going on.

Just because something isn't easy, doesn't mean it's hard.  I truly learned the meaning of that this month.  Our Mom just started working from home, which is such a blessing, but it meant I have some more responsibilities.  At first I was a little bugged because I didn't have as much free time.  Though, after a few days I realized I was enjoying my time off more.  It made me think of when I was little, if I said I was bored my Mom would give me work to do.  She said it made me appreciate my free time, instead of just wasting it.  Even now my Mom's simple lesson is making an impact on my life.

Music and The Screen

The Giver.  The movie.  The book.  The acting.  It made me cry.  A lot.

The Nim's Island soundtrack.  It's quite perfect for when I'm writing because it is kind of similar to my story, but my family isn't as found of it as I am.

Home.  I wasn't so sure about this movie at first, but ended up being presently surprised.  It was super cute and also made me cry, which isn't actually saying much because pretty much all movies make me cry, but it was good.  And the soundtrack is lovely happiness.

Theatre

We've had our first 8 rehearsals.  They were amazing, but SO MANY LINES!  I've only ever had a lead in a small production and even then, I had 50 lines max.  That's not the case here.  I have over 200 lines.  I guess we'll see how this goes.

Last Saturday we had Character Development Day.  I usually enjoy it more than most of the other rehearsals because we talk so much about how our role moves, talks, think, and acts.  At the end of the day I feel like I personally know all of the characters.

Love,
Pip
