Auditions, Star Wars & Apologies

Hello!
I suppose I should apologize.  I haven't been posting, which was one of my New Years goals.   In the meantime watch this really funny Studio C about resolutions.  Oh well, at least I completed one of my other goals! 

Lolly and I auditioned for Peter Pan! I thought my audition went really poorly because I messed up on my monologue.  I had to improvise a little bit to get back on track, but the cold read went well.  I think the worst part of auditions is right before and after, when you have to wait to see what part you got.  Fortunately I only had to wait a day. 

We were at a friends house watching Star Wars.  There were a few people (including Lolly and I) who have never seen any of the movies until Sunday night, so we started at the beginning and each week we will watch two more.  To be quite honest, I didn't understand most of what was happening, and the story line seemed somewhat strange.  I'm sure they will get better though.  

Now I'll tell you what roles we were cast as, because the suspense is killing me (even though I already know).  Lolly is the Crocodile and Older Wendy.  She didn't want a super large role this time, because she is busy with other things, so this worked out perfectly.  And I am Wendy Darling!  I could not believe it.  I still can't believe it!  Wendy is a dream role for me and Peter Pan is one of my favorite books!  A good friend of mine is Tinkerbell and Seriah is Peter Pan!  I can't wait to start rehearsals.  Want to see a super cool graphic?


Ahhh!  It makes me want to squeal!  It's so pretty.

      Haha! Yes! I just watched the third one made (I think it's number 6 in chronological order) and liked it much better.

Hey Guys! Friendship Day + What My Closest Friends Taught Me

Hello! How are you?  I still can’t believe it’s August.  I know I haven't been posting often, but I've been very busy.  Guess what?  Tomorrow is National Friendship Day!  I really wanted to do a post about it, but I'm trying to stick to my blog schedule, so I compromised and posted it today.     My friends have taught me lots of things .  Sometimes I’ve gotten a little bugged with them, and sometimes I’ve tried their patience.  But not matter what, we stick together.  Here are a few things I’ve learned from my three closest friends. Lolly (because who is a better friend than my sister?) Stand up for yourself.   Don’t ever let people walk all over you.  If they don’t care about you, then there is no reason to care about them. You are safe.  God will always protect you.  You are loved, and there is nothing that can change that. It’s okay to cry.  Just don’t lose hope.  Pip, you just need to sleep.  Everything will seem better

I'm Finally Back + Exciting News

I seem to have taken a brief (but much needed) blogging hiatus.  I was feeling a little discouraged and uninspired.  This time has helped me to refresh my mind while coming up with tons to talk about in upcoming posts.  And now, even when I finally post again, it's just a short one.   But   one filled with an exciting announcement...  I checked my number of followers sometime last week.  It was a measly 21.   This was the beginning of my blog burnout .  I was feeling discouraged.  On Saturday I checked my stats, and I had an amazing 90 followers!  It's amazing that people actually want to read my writing.  People all over the place are going to read these words I write. This afternoon I checked my stats and  literally squealed .  I now have  a gigantic 222 followers!   I don't know where all of this traffic come from, but I'm not complaining!
