New Years Goals & Other Such Snippets

Are you excited!  It's finally 2017!  I say that as if the year drug on and on, but really, it fairly flew! Do you have any goals, dreams or resolutions?  I have a few I'd like to share, so let's get started.

1. Get the splits
I've made this goal the last four years and never succeeded.  But it's a new year, right?  And I can still do it no matter how many times I fail.

2. Spend less time on screens and more time outside
This is a big one for me because I think it's really important.  Being in the sunshine makes me feel so much happier.  And even if there is no sun just the fresh air is great.  I know it's winter and it's cold, but  I can still spend a little time outside, right?  Plus look at the photo below.

Go out and go for a walk right now.  Your brain will feel alive!

3. Practice photography
It would be super cool to take awesome photos.  I know I can't get good all at once, so that's why I'll practice all year.  Plus, Lolly is letting me use a nice camera of hers.

P.S. I might be doing a photo challenge with some friends.  You'll have to check back and see.

4. Post more often
If you look at our blog frequently then you  know why I need to do this.  I'm really bad at it.  At least there is always time to improve!

5. Audition for Encore! Theatre's production of Peter Pan
Yes, it's Peter Pan!  I can not wait until auditions.  Seriously this would be fun regardless of what part I get.  I mean, it would be awesome simply to be a lost kid or pirate!  I'm just so happy!

6. Do something creative every day
I'm actually doing this pretty well so far.  I have quite a few drawing/watercolor I'd love to share with you.

This is my newest.  I'm still not positive how I feel about it.

Mary Poppins.  Practically perfect in every way.

I'm already thinking about the Peter Pan play way too much.

In this one I really enjoyed adding all of the glitter.

I want to step into this one.

There you go!  Which is your favorite?  I just noticed a correlation between all of them.  They each have blue or black.
