Friendship Day + What My Closest Friends Taught Me

Hello!

How are you?  I still can’t believe it’s August.  I know I haven't been posting often, but I've been very busy.  Guess what?  Tomorrow is National Friendship Day!  I really wanted to do a post about it, but I'm trying to stick to my blog schedule, so I compromised and posted it today.

My friends have taught me lots of things.  Sometimes I’ve gotten a little bugged with them, and sometimes I’ve tried their patience.  But not matter what, we stick together.  Here are a few things I’ve learned from my three closest friends.

Lolly
(because who is a better friend than my sister?)

Stand up for yourself.  Don’t ever let people walk all over you.  If they don’t care about you, then there is no reason to care about them.

You are safe.  God will always protect you.

You are loved, and there is nothing that can change that.

It’s okay to cry.  Just don’t lose hope.

Pip, you just need to sleep.  Everything will seem better in the morning.

The best people are the ones who will be a septopus with you

Seriah

If it’s possible to look beautiful while rolling around on the floor, chasing your shadow, then anything is possible.

It’s okay to spill tea in your lap every now and then.

Bright red heals are great fun.

Talking with a British accent makes everything better.

It'll be okay, Wendy.  Remember this from last night, dear?  It seriously made me tear up.

Emma

If you’re going to say rude things about people at a drive-in movie, make sure your windows are rolled up.

Truth or Dare can will always get a little crazy.

Secrets are too much fun.

You can never go wrong with a good laugh.

Your turn!

Now I want to read about you good friends, what they taught you and maybe even more!  This tag is open to anyone, just tell me if you do it!  And remember, we should appreciate our friends every day.  Not just tomorrow.  Why not show your friends some love?  They are pretty amazing after all.  You don’t have to do anything extravagant.  Just write them a note, take them out to coffee or give them a hug.  Whatever the case, make sure they know you care.

Love,

Pip

Who are your closest friends?
What life lessons have they taught you?
Do you like the photos?
Should I use more of my photography?

  1. I'm actually doing a matching post with my bff/little sister tomorrow for National Friendship Day, so I'm going to pass on the tag. Sounds really cool though!

And yes, the photos are awesome, and a few more would be really awesome!

  2. Ooh, this is such a cute tag! I'm afraid I won't be able to get to this for maybe another two weeks or so, but I'll try to write a post about it really soon. I loved all the lessons your friends have taught you (I relate to the one about having your windows up-- I usually don't gossip or say rude things but sometimes the people I'm with have a bad habit of doing so...).

    1. Thanks, Abigail! I'd love to hear about your friends!

Well, it's actually something that happened to us. We were at a drive in movie and couldn't decide where to park. One of us said "let's not park by that awkward couple." "Oh, I think those kids are going to be really loud." "Why is everyone looking at us?" It was pretty awkward when we realized our windows were down *facepalm*
