A Beautiful Disaster Blog Tour

Guess what?

My blogger, writer, batgirl friend is publishing her book!  I am thrilled to participate in her blog tour, but it’s kind of nerve racking since I’m the last one posting about it.  I mean, it’s the grand finale and all.  Anyway, enough about me.  This is about Daisy and her amazing book, A Beautiful Disaster.

The girl

Daisy Louise Paquet is an Internet-addicted, self-proclaimed nerd. She likes coffee, books, and sci-fi movies. She may accidentally attack you with sarcasm and Batman references from time to time, but she promises to be nice. She currently resides in a galaxy far, far away with her family and cat.

From Goodreads.

Just look at that gorgeous cover.

The book

Here is the fabulous synopsis that took me forever to find because I don’t have a Goodreads account therefore don’t know how it works.

When Wither is crowned king of the faerie, he knows that it is up to him to free his people from the UnderKingdom, a vast network of mines that his people have been confined to for a thousand years. In a desperate attempt to prove himself, he kidnaps the pyxie princess and swears that he will stop at nothing to convince her to help them.

When Aspin, princess of the pyxie, finds herself in the UnderKingdom, her first instinct isn't fright- she has never been frightened of anything, for there has never been anything for her to be frightened of. When she meets the faerie, she agrees to help them into the world- into the light. A thousand years is far too long; no one should be in the dark that long.

Together, Wither and Aspin launch headlong into an adventure, setting off a chain of events out of their control.

The Interview

I have never actually done of these before, which made it way more exciting.  I did an adequate job-I hope.  I will be writing in black and Daisy will be in turquoise because it matches her beautiful aesthetic cover.

When did you start writing?

I wrote my first full-length story when I was around six and haven’t stopped since.

How?

Which character was the most fun to write for?

It was definitely Wither.  Sophie and I rp’d with him a lot and it was amazingly fun.  He’s very himself and won’t let anyone change who he is.  :)

How has this book effected your day to day life?

I’m constantly thinking “what would Wither/Aspin/Silver do?” and one of my friends once found a coloring page that said, “Beautiful Disaster” on it.  Basically, it’s just taken over.

My theatre self does this all. The. Time.

What’s your favorite thing about writing?

Character creation.  I love making characters and rp’ing to get to know them better.  It’s so much fun!

Yes, yes, yes!  I love it too!

Your least favorite?

Ugh, world-building.  I always go brain-dead afterwards.  I actually kind of like revisions, though-shocker, I know.

Something you wish you knew before you started writing?
That the right story will come when God is ready for it to be told- and He won't let you sleep until you've written it.

Umm, this is really relatable.

That wraps it up, girls.  If you want more, go and check out the other wonderful posts in this tour.

Ta-ta for now, Lovelies!  Thanks for reading!

Love,

Pip
