Christmas Creations

Hello, and my apologies.  Yet again I have failed to post regularly!  Oh well, Chritsmas is the time of new beginnings, right?

As we have been getting ready for the holidays I set aside some time to craft.

My first creation is an ornament I saw at Hobby Lobby.  I loved it so much, but didn't feel like spending the money on it. So, I decided to take a picture and try making it.  I'm very happy I did because it turned out quite well.

Isn't it cute?  I just love the bow tie.

Willa and I have also made a small assortment of paper snowflakes.  Because we haven't had any real snow here they help to console us.  Below is my step by step tutorial for them:

Start with a pencil, price of paper and some scissors.

Fold it so it so that it is a triangle with an extra bit on one end.

Cut along the edge so that you have just one large triangle.

Fold it in half to make another triangle.

Fold up one side like the photo above.

Fold the other side as well.  Then cut off everything above where I am pointing.

It should look something like this.

Now for the fun part!  Draw any design you want and cut it out.

Here is my skeleton snowflake.  When you are done cutting go ahead and unfold it!

Ta-da!  What do you think?

Our "falling snow" looks beautiful, doesn't it?  Now it's your turn to make some!

I hope you have a merry Christmas and happy New Year!

Love,
Pip
