Cupcake Wars

A few Saturdays ago my friend, Willow, Princess Polliwog and I attended an event at our library. It was called Cupcake Wars.  Each person had to simple decorate a cupcake any way they liked and then three people who worked at the library judged all the cupcakes.  It was really fun!

Finally it was time to have our cupcakes judged.  The lady helping with the event announced that there was four awards.  The award for Most Imaginative went to a girl who made a unicorn head on her cupcake.  The award for Most Detailed went to someone who made a grassy field with lots of flowers.  The award for most creative went to… Willow!  Her cat was soooo adorable!  And then the prize for Most Professional went to… Me!  It was fun to have Willow come with us and we all really enjoyed ourselves. 

The next day I realized that Princess  Polliwog really deserved a prize. So I tried to sneak around without her seeing me while I put a little something special together. 

 I gave her a porcelain doll that I used to love.  Well, actually it was Lolly's first.  She bought her when she was 12 and I was 6.  I had adored the doll so
much!  Sometimes when Lolly went out of the room I would sneak in and hold the doll.  When was about 10 Lolly was de-cluttering and came across the doll.  She didn't want her anymore so she  passed her down to me.  I should have been thrilled right?  Nope. I didn't really like the doll very much anymore.

Now I'm 13 and Princess Polliwog is 7.  And of course now Princess Polliwog loves the doll just as much as I had.  So I decided it would be the perfect little prize. 

The Princess was thrilled with her gift!   The doll has finally received a name!   It is  Lizzy. Isn't that cute?  

Sorry we haven't posted something in so long!  Lolly has been really busy with college and she is working two jobs.  And I have been kind of busy too. Thanks to all of you who look at our blog!

Hey Guys! Friendship Day + What My Closest Friends Taught Me

Hello! How are you?  I still can’t believe it’s August.  I know I haven't been posting often, but I've been very busy.  Guess what?  Tomorrow is National Friendship Day!  I really wanted to do a post about it, but I'm trying to stick to my blog schedule, so I compromised and posted it today.     My friends have taught me lots of things .  Sometimes I’ve gotten a little bugged with them, and sometimes I’ve tried their patience.  But not matter what, we stick together.  Here are a few things I’ve learned from my three closest friends. Lolly (because who is a better friend than my sister?) Stand up for yourself.   Don’t ever let people walk all over you.  If they don’t care about you, then there is no reason to care about them. You are safe.  God will always protect you.  You are loved, and there is nothing that can change that. It’s okay to cry.  Just don’t lose hope.  Pip, you just need to sleep.  Everything will seem better

I'm Finally Back + Exciting News

I seem to have taken a brief (but much needed) blogging hiatus.  I was feeling a little discouraged and uninspired.  This time has helped me to refresh my mind while coming up with tons to talk about in upcoming posts.  And now, even when I finally post again, it's just a short one.   But   one filled with an exciting announcement...  I checked my number of followers sometime last week.  It was a measly 21.   This was the beginning of my blog burnout .  I was feeling discouraged.  On Saturday I checked my stats, and I had an amazing 90 followers!  It's amazing that people actually want to read my writing.  People all over the place are going to read these words I write. This afternoon I checked my stats and  literally squealed .  I now have  a gigantic 222 followers!   I don't know where all of this traffic come from, but I'm not complaining!
